SLEEPY, designed by the Italian architect Angelo Tomaiuolo and produced by Tonin CASA, is an aesthetically pleasing bed, ideal for contemporary houses. This modern Dutch cabin was designed by studio Denieuwegeneratie and is located in a nature reserve, on a historical agricultural plot. The architecture solution for this project was to create an artificial hill and camouflage the residence, while minimizing disturbance on the environment. Here is more on the structure of the cabin from the architects: “The spatial structure of the house is a rectangular 12 x 19 meter open space. Steel cross the entire 12 meter width allowing great flexibility to the interior arrangement. Inside the hall-like space, the rooms are stacked in a disorderly manner and built out of light wooden structures, facilitating easy implementation of possible future changes. The interior can evolve along with its inhabitants, a young family, rooms being added or removed through time”. It’s not every day that you see such a stunning design. The Meg chair has a very unique look that you can either love or hate. Personally I’m still having mixed feelings in this area. Whatever the case is, one thing is certain: there’s no other chair like this one. The design is so different from everything else that it’s hard to place it in a particular style. The Duck Without a Head Lamp was created by Sebastian Errazuriz and is a really strange and creepy lamp. The lamp isn’t for sale, I think that this design will remain just a design because I don’t see people buying something like this. The 6,800-square-foot Blue Jay Way Residence by McClean Design is located on a spectacular lot above Sunset Strip with panoramic views—from downtown and west Los Angeles, to Santa Monica, the Pacific, and Catalina Island. The design of the house maximizes access to the view such that all the main living spaces look out over it. The client desired a house designed around a long pool and this became the central design element of the project.
